The Puerto Rico 965 is our Puerto Rican jewel. The number “965” has a worlds of history behind it. Puerto Rico is known for growing some of the best tobacco in the world. With cheap labor crops were found everywhere. Slowly throughout the years tradition was lost. Around 1990 the university of Puerto Rico created an experimental crop taking thousands of acres. After eight years of growing batch “965” was born. JFC Tobacco bought the whole lot. Since then we have carefully used this tobacco as the filler in our complete line of cigars. Puerto Rico 965 starts off with the taste of cedar, with notes of leather. You’ll fall in love with the strong consistent white ash. It goes great with an aged rum or a coñac. Hoja Boricua is our medium flavored cigar. Hoja Boricua features a symbol for what the Taínos drew as a sun. They worshipped the sun because it helped them grow their biggest crop cassava root. When the Taínos would cultivate the cassava they would traditionally smoke a cigar. Hoja Boricua is a cigar dedicated to our Puerto Rican ancestors. Hoja Boricua is a mild to medium bodied cigar. 100% long filler Puerto Rican tobacco, Dominican Republic binder, and an Indonesia wrapper. It’ll give you notes of subtle spicy flavor, but bring it all together with smoked wood. Continue traditions alive with our Hoja Boricua Cigar, the cigar of our ancestors. Hoja Boricua Gran Reserva is the same mix of Hoja Boricua. The biggest difference is the cigar has an aged Nicaraguan Corojó wrapper. This wrapper is aged in a temperature controlled environment. Giving you a much more bolder taste than the Hoja Boricua. After this process Hoja Boricua Gran Reserva turns into medium to strong bodied cigar that delivers creamy, nutty, notes with a real spicy kick at the end. Goes great with a strong whiskey or aged coñac.
